OUR MISSION

Helping Little Hearts Understand Their Big World

At Stories Bloom Studio, we create gentle, meaningful children's books about feelings that help little ones understand what’s happening inside them, find their courage, and grow one small step at a time. Our stories are designed for parents, teachers and caregivers who want more than “just another bedtime story” — they want emotional learning books for kids that feel magical, warm and truly child-friendly.

“Because sometimes the safest way to begin a big conversation is with a little story.”

Growing Up Comes With Big Feelings

Childhood is full of beautiful wonders, but it is also full of moments that feel overwhelming. Whether it is a first day at school, a friendship that feels difficult, or the heavy weight of a little mistake, these 'big feelings' can be hard for a child to navigate.

Often, children don’t have the words to describe what they are experiencing. They simply feel a knot in their tummy or a cloud over their day. When we give a child a story, we give them a mirrors to see their own feelings reflected and a safe bridge to talk about them with the adults they love.

Our Mission Is to Help Young Hearts Bloom

We believe that when a child understands their heart, they find their courage. Every story we publish is guided by the same core mission: to nurture emotional intelligence through wonder and warmth. We are committed to showing children that:

  • It is okay to feel deeply.
  • Courage isn’t not being afraid; it’s being afraid and taking one brave step anyway.
  • Mistakes are how we learn to grow.
  • Kindness is a strength, never a weakness.

“We don’t want children to simply finish our stories. We want them to carry something from the story into their own lives.”

Stories With a Deeper Purpose

While our books are whimsical and magical, they are built on a solid foundation of child development. All Stories Bloom books are created and refined by a child psychologist to ensure the language, metaphors, and resolutions are developmentally appropriate and emotionally supportive.

Our books aren’t therapy, but they are psychology-informed tools that help parents and kids talk about the tough stuff in a way that feels like play.

Understanding Feelings

Connecting physical sensations to emotions so children can name what they feel.

Kindness

Building empathy for themselves and the world around them.

Little Skills That Grow Into Lifelong Strengths

Calm & Coping

Positive Self-Talk

The Real Magic Happens After “The End”

We design our books to be interactive experiences between a parent and child. The illustrations are intentionally detailed to spark conversation, and the themes are built to linger long after the lights go out. We create for those quiet moments at the edge of the bed when:

  • A child points to a character and says, “I feel like that today.”
  • A parent has the perfect metaphor to explain a difficult concept.
  • A difficult day is softened by a familiar story of hope.

“Sometimes a child will tell a story character what they aren’t ready to tell us directly.”

That is why we believe stories can open doors that questions sometimes cannot.

Meet Ellie — A Little Elephant Learning About a Very Big World

Ellie is our studio’s heart. She is a thoughtful, gentle young elephant who feels the world very deeply. Sometimes she gets worried, sometimes she feels sad when she makes a mistake, and sometimes she just needs a little extra encouragement.

Through Ellie, we show children that being thoughtful is a superpower, and that growing up isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being kind to yourself along the way. Ellie grows one little brave step at a time — just like our children do.

Questions Parents Often Ask

What age range are Stories Bloom books for?

Our stories are written for children aged 3 to 8 years old. While older children often enjoy the artistry and themes, the emotional language is tailored for these early blooming years.

Are these books therapy?

No, they are not a substitute for professional therapy. We call them 'emotional learning' books—gentle tools that use psychology-informed language to help you navigate everyday feelings at home.

How can I use these books to help my child talk about feelings?

Each book includes a 'Heart to Heart' section at the end with simple questions you can ask your child, helping you bridge the gap between Ellie’s story and your child’s world.

Is Ellie in every book?

Ellie is the main character in many of our core series, but you will also meet her wonderful friends, like Bella the Bunny and Hazel the Hedgehog, who each have their own special lessons to share.

Do you offer resources for teachers?

Yes! We believe schools are where big hearts learn to grow together. We have printable classroom guides and activity sheets available to help teachers integrate StoryBloom lessons into their day.
